We are committed to making our learning programme welcoming and accessible for all.

We recognise that our visitors have a wide range of needs, so we aim to provide a variety of resources as well as training our staff to ensure everyone feels supported and can enjoy their visit.

  • All of our learning venues offer fidget bags to help learners stay focused and comfortable which are completely free to use
  • In some of our venues, we are able to provide dedicated sensory areas to give a calm, quiet space for anyone who may feel overwhelmed
  • Our tactile maps enable visitors with visual impairments to explore and navigate the museum through touch, while our audio guides offer engaging, flexible ways to access information at your own pace
  • Our Visual Stories can give learners a sense of what to expect from their visit before they arrive
  • Our Sensory Maps show visitors the various sensory points around the museum

We aim to create an inclusive environment where every learner can feel confident, supported, and inspired to take part.

Please see individual workshop pages to find out what is available at each venue.
