At 878 AD, pupils travel back in time as they step into the role of a character the evening before the Battle of Edington!
Learners can dress up in Saxon costumes throughout their visit and complete Anglo-Saxon challenges whilst experiencing the sounds and smells of the city, walking among Anglo-Saxon villagers and discovering objects from the time.
Then, at Winchester City Museum, pupils can embed the learning from their immersive experience through teacher-led object handling, exploring further Anglo-Saxon artefacts and completing a Time Travellers Guide workbook which they can take back to the classroom as a reminder of their discoveries!
